Records related to Manuscript Mus.2056-J-1 of the Sächsische Landesbibliothek - Staats-, und Universitätsbibliothek (Dresden) are now available online. This Manuscript Volume belonged to Pietro Ottoboni (1667-1740); il contains four cantatas for soprano (one with echo), strings and basso continuo by Don Giovanni Lorenzo Minei, a composer active in Naples and born in the second half of the sixteenth century near Taranto (Laterza); it is datable between 1686 and 1689 during the Great Turkish War fought by Leopold I and Mehmed IV: “Sonno di Didone” (Sleep of Dido); “Lagrime di Marte per le vittorie di Leopoldo” (Tears of Mars for Leopold’s victories); “Il Catone Uticense” (Cato Uticensis); “Capriccio poetico” (Poetic caprice).
