A PROJECT FOR THE CLASSIFICATION OF THE SOURCES OF THE ITALIAN CANTATA

READ THE EDITORIAL

The project Clori. Archivio della cantata italiana intends to record all the existing sources of vocal chamber music on an Italian text, from its origins, starting from around 1620, to the latest appearances in the first decades of the nineteenth century. The online database will be a descriptive consultation resource able to foster an increasingly in-depth and multidisciplinary knowledge of this repertory. The project, mainly promoted by the Italian Society of Musicology, collaborates with the “Centro studi sulla cantata italiana" of the University of Rome Tor Vergata, University of Pavia, University of Siena.
